Paperback Mp3s
Here are a few mp3s from one of the infamous “Paperback” performances (April 6th, 2003). Thanks to S. Boyechko for these. Please enjoy but refrain from direct linking to them.

Pedrothelion.com has put up its first bit of content, which is really just the dates from Pedro’s upcoming tour. Check it out.
Also, A. Argo sent in a link to a great transcript of David Bazan revealing his thoughts on quite a variety of issues. I highly recommend reading at least the first bit of it.
Paperback
A few readers have noted that David Bazan is touring with Bright Eyes under the name “Paperback”. Here’s one message I got:
“I was at a Bright Eyes show last night in Portland, Ore, with openers Paperback and Arab Strap. It seems, strangely, that Paperback was actually Davad Bazan playing a few unreleased songs. I’m not sure why he went under a different name, but, after a few songs, people caught on, so David played a Pedro song. He only played 5 or 6 songs.” — S. Boyechko
We may get some mp3s up from the shows eventually.
New dates on Pollstar
Pollstar.com lists PTL as playing a slow tomorrow (4/11) at Taylor University in Upland, IN. and another show at The Gorge in Washinton May 24th. One could speculate that the new album will be recorded around that time assuming the Scientific project is finished, but I digress.
There are a few new tabs including April 6, 2039, Be Thou My Vision, and Options. Thanks to Patrick and Jonathan.
Also there is another Pedro date (found at pitchforkmedia.com):

Well, ptl.org hasn’t been updated since Dec. ‘02 for a couple of pretty good reasons. Mostly I moved to a new house without any real internet connection. Also, the billing from ptl.org’s hosting service was screwed up for a while. (ptl.com was down for a while too.)
Added bass tab for “Of Up and Coming Monarchs” (thanks to Ben H.).
Updated tabs to include “Big Trucks” (alt. version) and bass-tab for “A Mind of Her Own”.
Reorganized discography section should be up fairly soon.
News from Suicide Squeeze
The official word from Suicide Squeeze is that they won’t be re-pressing the I Heard the Bells… 7″ next Christmas or ever. Good news for those of us who have one (or two, or three… or seven), bad for those who don’t.
However, insound.com will be giving away 5 or so 7″s with other Suicide Squeeze releases. Also, three autographed 7″s will be given away with random orders (of any band) from suicidesqueeze.net during November only.
Have a jolly, jolly thanksgiving.
