I like how they spend so much time explaining how they define "rock," and the criteria for being a "top" album, but no address whatsoever as to how they determine that it's "Christian."

Albums I have owned.

Larry Norman - stolen from an older sibling - amazing in context

U2 - They were all the rage back then (sadly most my peers never moved on)

The Alarm - awesome when I was in college

The Call - awesome then - awesome now (last club show I saw prior to Bazan)

mewithoutYou - good, but not their best

Steve Taylor - pretty good but not as good as his Chagall Guevara effort

Pedro the Lion - One of my all time favorites

Sufjan Stevens - Good, if you are into Sufjan

Beyond that, I recognized a few names, but most were *coughs* too christian for me. Smile

Of those I owned, only two (Norman and Taylor) are what I consider christan albums. (agreeing with ROY's post).

Any other silly christians out there who own any of this silly stuff?

#53 Pedro the Lion - Control

With each album David Bazan was able to break through my defenses, disarm my guards and inject a good dose of truth into my life. Control was one of those records. —Caleb Palma

I didn't realise MATS was moonlighting at HM Magazine, great review though.
