If you want a band to come play your town the best thing to do is notify a local promoter of rock shows. If they build it, they will come.

I'm not harassing you, but when will y'all be coming to the UK/Germany with a band?

So what you're saying is... I should book a Bazan UK tour myself! Let's do this.

If you're an active promoter of touring American Indie Rock bands then you should go for it.

this needs to happen for bazan + band to come over there:

at least 10 shows in legit venues that properly advertise and promote shows.

6 UK work permits, 5 flights from seattle, 1 flight from nashville, 3 double hotel rooms per night, 2 guitar amps, 1 bass amp, 4pc drumset, 15 passenger van + trailer. UK based tour manager who is sober and friendly at all times + the ability to pay the band and crew their weekly wages.

The incessant passing over of Charlotte w/ a full band has got to end. The Charlotte house show sold out in less than an hour. We have kickass venues. What gives?

I get that.

I just legitimately was curious why so many tours seem to pass Charlotte specifically. Most of the time, I am able to drive 2 hours to Carborro or Asheville but I promise anytime someone like Dave or Elephant Twat or bigger groups like Wilco or Son Volt take a chance on Charlotte, it sells out. Confused

Wow, I never really thought about it like that - that's brutal.

I had a really great idea though, what if my super reliable, friendly and sober band learns all the songs... and we can be the European Band? We know a bunch of the songs anyways.

We could start a really awesome, 'official' tribute act kind of deal and tour the world?

I talked to Bob earlier today and he's really, REALLY stoked about this idea.
