Back again, but in a more timely fashion - and with new tunes. I asked Dave if it was alright if I posted this here and he said it was fine. I recorded this with my phone this time; the quality is better, at least, it recorded straight to .wav at 44.1 kHz. There is a dip in the first track where I moved the phone, apologies. Anyone who wants to tweak or master the original .wavs is free to. I've been listening to the new songs for...well, since the show. On to business.
Another fine photo from...last year. He took his jacket off this time.

New songs in . I asked Dave about the first song and he said he was probably calling it "Nobody's Perfect." The other track he said he wasn't sure what he was going to call it yet, so I just asked if I could call it Sparkling Water when I posted this, and he laughed and said no problem. I'm sure it will change but the opening lines struck me so hard. In fact, Sparkling Water (or whatever it's really called) is like...the best fucking song. I can't believe it. Out of all four new tunes from Bazan Monthly, it is my favorite. It blows me away. I can't stop listening to it or playing it on the piano. The melody of his voice on the bridge outro just breaks my heart. And God, the lyrics. Maybe it's just temporary obsession, but I don't care, it's amazing.

All four of the new tracks were just awesome this show. I asked him about Deny Myself and holding back the second half of the chorus till the end of the song, and he said he felt there was more tension to the song live that way, which I totally agree with.
Anyway. More comments later. Enjoy for now.
