New Music

I am enjoying newest shakey graves album 'and the war came' and Sylvan Esso as I am catching up to albums that came out last year. What's good in 2015?

This is correct, although the most recent one didn't do much for me.

My favorites so far this year have been:
Sufjan- Carrie & Lowell
Father John Misty - I Love You, Honeybear
Viet Cong - S/T
Sun Kil Moon - Universal Themes (despite its faults and general weirdness)
Built to Spill - Untethered Moon
Wilco - Star Wars
Tame Impala - Currents

Excited for forthcoming releases by Beach House, Low, Kurt Vile, Foals.
I'm just one too many mornings and a thousand miles behind.

Ironically I just got back from a week in Bonaire (hi Numan) and I only had The Knot and Civilian, which I played over and over the entire trip. I haven't even heard Shriek. But holy shit if these two albums aren't amazing.

Also really looking forward to new Beach House. Going to surprise the wife with tickets for the upcoming tour.

Man, I have to admit my surprise ... the new Wilco album is so much better than I anticipated it would be. Wilco (the Album) was a disappointment to me, and had enough good songs for a decent EP. I'm really digging Star Wars.
