yeah you're right...i think most of the time that's true, but if there is anything significantly different about the first press, i think it can remain really valuable...such as different art work, tracklist, inserts and things like that. the original press of godspeed's F♯ A♯ ∞ is still super valuable and goes for well over 100 bucks still. the repress goes for 20

Excellent point, and I agree with you that the 1st pressing will almost always retain more value than later pressings because there will always be some nerd like me that has to have it.

But imagine if that Godspeed LP wasn't repressed - It could be fetching for some serious figures, not saying 100 isn't a lot, just in comparison.

Check out the many dark green copies that have passed through eBay in the last few years.

Awesome! I have never seen the Green copies...must be extra rare.

Has anyone ever figured out pressing info for this release?

Since a lot of releases run about 2000 for Jade Tree, I would say it's somewhere in that.

I really want to know more about these re-issues....I plan on picking them up but I might want to get out from under a few things if they are being re-pressed.

Holy shit at $152 for a dark green copy. I recently got one for a third of that. I also have a test press of Control that I got for $60. It's amazing how insane eBay can make things sometimes.

They're still going for that much? Shit, I guess should sell mine.
I'm just one too many mornings and a thousand miles behind.

I was watching this but there was no way I can afford that.
