Whoa this is such amazing news. I checked when the show dates went up and there were hardly any replies, but hadn't checked back in until now. I am so excited for some full band shows. I probably can't get up to Portland/Seattle in December, but come on down to San Diego (or, ugh, L.A., I guess) when you can!
I'm just one too many mornings and a thousand miles behind.

I got tickets for the 12/16 show in Portland and have some friends flying into to town for it. Last time I saw Dave play at Mississippi Studios I had to ask the Lyft driver to pull over so I could throw up on the ride home...not my best moment but worth it. :?

Got Seattle 12/21. I eagerly await Never Leave A Job Half Done. That song has been left off of the setlist for far too long.

The set/show as it stands currently does not include NLAJHD, but I'm still working shit out.

Yes & no
Those bands reminded me what's it's like to be in a certain kind of band: fully collaborative/if someone quits the band it's over, etc (the kind of band that my "main thing" can't be for various reasons. Keep in mind, while Overseas didn't go public til 2013, the recording sessions for the album and all "Bazan Band" touring/recording overlapped completely). also, because being in those bands scratched the ever present itch to be in any kind of band at all, I felt they provided a regular enough reprieve from the tension of playing alone (once Bazan band was "done" in 2012) that I could tolerate it "for work" while I tried to figure out how to have a band again for my "main thing" and then how to "afford" it
