Blanco Pre-Order

So the preorder is up...a $75 deluxe edition or a $20 vinyl? This is my choice. What do I do with my other Bazan record mat if I get the new Bazan record mat? How many Bazan t-shirts would my wife consider, too many Bazan t-shirts? Do I get the cassette even though I do not have a cassette deck? These are the questions which now rack my brain on a Tuesday.

Ok, thoughts on the reworked "Trouble with Boys?" This is perhaps my favorite track from the Monthly series, so I was very excited to see it make the final cut for the album. I love the reworked version too. I'm not too versed in the area of keyboards/electronic music so the best I can come up with is that something has been added to make it seem "lighter" and it allows his voice to cary to potential hint of sadness that underlines the song before ending with one of the more hopeful Bazan lyrics. Just beautiful.

Is this a place to talk about the upcoming tour or should we start a new thread for the 4 of us?

Pre kid I would have got the deluxe edition for sure.... Regular LP it is.

Curious to hear these reworked versions. Would have liked at least one completely fresh tune though.

Well, I think you prioritize a bit more. As fun as it would be to have a Bazan tt mat, I wouldn't use it. It would go in a closet. I don't have money for things I'm not going to use.

I agree. After hearing the reworked version of Trouble with Boys, the original really sounds like a demo. I hoping for a similar improvement on the rest of the songs (in part so I don't feel like I am just buying the same songs again in a different order).
