David has included 2007’s Cold Beer and Cigarettes on the upcoming Net Neutrality album “Rock the Net“, not to be confused with MTV’s ineffectual Rock the Vote. If this journalist might speak on a personal level for a moment - I’m extremely excited to see Bazan stand behind Net Neutrality in a meaningful way. If […]

Months ago, the Seattle Weekly posted a live track of David Bazan performing Dylan’s Oh Sister at the “Unscrew The Crocodile Employees” benefit show. It’s undyingly faithful to the original piece and somehow, yet unsurprisingly, Bazan plays the most woeful drums you’ll ever cry into a glass of Alabama whiskey.

Pedrothelion.com has put up its first bit of content, which is really just the dates from Pedro’s upcoming tour. Check it out.
Also, A. Argo sent in a link to a great transcript of David Bazan revealing his thoughts on quite a variety of issues. I highly recommend reading at least the first bit of it.

Paperback

A few readers have noted that David Bazan is touring with Bright Eyes under the name “Paperback”. Here’s one message I got:
“I was at a Bright Eyes show last night in Portland, Ore, with openers Paperback and Arab Strap. It seems, strangely, that Paperback was actually Davad Bazan playing a few unreleased songs. I’m not […]

Pollstar.com lists PTL as playing a slow tomorrow (4/11) at Taylor University in Upland, IN. and another show at The Gorge in Washinton May 24th. One could speculate that the new album will be recorded around that time assuming the Scientific project is finished, but I digress.
